This week’s Carpinteria Birdwatchers meeting will be something new: A “potluck” in which we each have an opportunity to share our favorite bird books. Bring a book or two to share with the rest of the group, and we’ll each take turns showing our books, telling the group what we like about them, and maybe reading a passage or two.

New books, old books, field guides, reference books, memoirs, fiction; everything is fair game as long as it’s at least somewhat bird-related. It’s totally fine if you just want to watch without sharing a book of your own, but I hope lots of people will be willing to share their favorites.
